I too am quite a needy person, and it took me a little while to understand the difference between what is reasonable to expect from a relationship and what is not.

I suffered from Body Dismorphia after losing a lot of weight (I was quite large, but was still in the mindset of being too big even after reaching a healthy weight) and I went to therapy for this amongst some other things. There are various techniques that can help you overcome these insecurities, so feel free to message me if you want some more details/advice. I'd also recommend getting some hobbies, making yourself a person with more going on helped me with being less intense about my relationships as then they weren't the only part of my life.

Your wife is mistreating and neglecting this dog. Also, I'm willing to bet she is not training him appropriately during the best moments of his life to be trained. You need to rehome him now, not later. That animal is suffering and his health and well-being should be your priority since he can't help himself.

Sounds like she's trying to punish you for being honest with your feelings. A “I'll show you selfish” type of approach. It's unacceptable.
