I sort of get that she’s trickle truthed this. But you saying you’re not controlling, it seems a bit like you are which has put her in a position where she’s been trying to deal with an admirer in a compassionate way but hasn’t felt like she could be honest with you. So yes she lied. Not in doubt, but if you want to make sure you’re having honest conversations with people going forwards you need to make room for that.
