This is such a good point and distinction! I definitely had moments of “Will I be good enough?” lol. Like does this guy know he can do better? ? So to add onto this, not in chronological order. She had a very close guy friend named “bob” whom she texts and snapchats regularly. I’ve seen a paragraph or two of them arguing over abortion and her saying he is so sexist, which confused me because she said they were friends and she seemed heated. Well, I saw a post on one of her social media accounts (posted 3 months before we started dating) and it was her with a guy and the caption said happy 4 months of sneaky linking. Which means fucking for those who don’t know. I thought it was funny because it was before me and in the past. I asked who it was (a couple weeks into us dating) out of curiosity only to find out it was bob. She said that 2 months ago he asked her to be exclusive and she said no and then she told him a week later “I don’t want a relationship but we can be friends on your terms” 2 months before we started dating and he basically agreed. They continued to ft every now and then, text often and Snapchat a lot. Long story short I asked her to stop talking to him and she did angrily. Only I found out later that she was wearing a sweatshirt he gave her when we were FaceTiming… a month after they were just friends… and he called her cute a week before we started dating. This is what essentially put me into a downward spiral of questioning everything because I wanted to trust her but I couldn’t.
