It is possible but rare. I have two female friends who I’m super tight with and never had any sort of romantic or physical vibe with. We can scratch each other’s neck, give massages and embrace longer than a standard hug. I only have one male friend who is comfortable being that physical. Men usually get really uncomfortable if you’re that affectionate.
