what I was annoyed was that she didnt invite me and he still went when I said I didn't like that. It's lowkey annoying cause she lied about it and he still went. As if what I said didn't matter to him.
If the doctor is okay with it he should be okay as long as he gets regular check ups, I'm sure whatever safety regulations his plant is using seems to be working although I don't anyone can really tell what the long term affects are. I would poise a 2nd question not taking the promotion means a lot less of potential money, is your income good enough, that job could be the difference in reting at 45 vs 60, and at 60 he will most likely not be doing the plant floor position.
I watched my parents chase lazy pipedreams (Amway, Premier Jewelry and the like) my entire childhood, always broke but hearing “We're going to have so much money soon!” It messed me up pretty good. I constantly worry about money and can't buy anything for myself despite making more money than I ever dreamed as a kid.
He needs to be an adult and face reality. He can chase dreams AFTER he has a stable income. Or you can spend your life taking care of him.

I wouldn’t exactly say I have the “qualifications” to lecture him, but I do understand the blatant signs of someone being manipulated and used, as well as learning from my experiences whereas he does not, at least not very well. That being said, I rarely ever lecture him if at all. It’s more along the lines of advice that I sometimes worry crosses the line into a lecture.
And yes, he’s not doing bad at all with a 50k salary, however, he lives paycheck to paycheck, has nothing to show for his hot work, and often comes and asks for me to cover his rent until he can pay me back.
