I’m in a similar situation. My gf wants to go to med school but I am past schooling and have a stable career. She is scared we will not work if she goes to med school but I’m pushing her to go. Truly. People grow and change and don’t have to be fucking someone else to realize they’re missing something from the lives they built. Maybe she’s questioning her sexuality, maybe she had a close brush with death or a miscarriage or watched and old couple help each other off the train and realized she didn’t have that kind of love or maybe she just wants to experience life on her own again. Either way, counselling will provide you both a safe space to talk about it and decide if it’s something that you want to work through.
